• Responsible for supporting an extensive range of marcomms tasks as part of a small team, including marketing of fundraising activities; writing press releases and responding to journalists’ queries; producing content for multiple social media platforms and the charity’s website.• Introduced the idea of an annual impact report to demonstrate key achievements to supporters and encourage ongoing donations. Led the production, research and design of the impact report and accompanying infographics which have been used to foster new donor relationships.• Led the redesign of the charity’s website while collaborating with colleagues to meet operational needs. The project included writing all content, testing, and liaising with the web developer.• Frequently updated content, maintained and amended the website using Joomla.• Oversaw social media activity and content for Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube and LinkedIn. Increased Facebook ‘likes’ and Twitter reach by 13% each in a year - without paid advertising - by improving the quality and frequency of posts.• Produced the creative copy and design ideas on three raffle fundraising campaigns sent to over 45,000 supporters which generated more than £80,000 in income.• Advised the charity on making itself ready for the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) ahead of May 2018.

- Designated business lead responsible for creating and leading this growing PR agency’s public affairs and stakeholder relations practice. Tasked with developing this area of the business including securing new clients, and raising the agency’s profile as public affairs specialists.- Developed influencing strategies for clients to engage with parliamentarians and key stakeholders, and executed all stakeholder outreach and influencing activities.- Secured and supported client meetings with MPs and civil servants; produced written responses to Parliamentary inquiry; advised on methods of influencing and whom to target.- Acted as internal expert advising colleagues on parliamentary activities and political changes affecting all clients, leading to new PR coverage and influencing opportunities.- Managed PR account team for a national charity, where KPIs were met every month; press coverage secured in national, local and trade outlets; won bid to become one of The Times’ Christmas Appeal 2015 charities.

- Led a busy team responsible for the policy, research and campaigns function of a prominent disability charity. Line managed 3 staff, and held responsibility for a £259k budget.- Delivered campaigns on accessible housing, employment support, voting rights, and improved access to rail travel through the delivery of two reports and a series of events launching each campaign, all within a three-month window.- Achieved key success in accessible rail travel campaign, by persuading the Office of Rail Regulation to implement disability access monitoring through KPIs for all rail operators.- Responsible for creating and managing wider organisational key messages on political issues and changes affecting the charity and its beneficiaries.- Generated media coverage through commissioned and in-house research which featured in national, local and trade press.- Managed stakeholder engagement with local and national government, secured meetings and visits with MPs, Shadow Ministers and councillors.- Organised Party Conference activity for the chief executive and held 4 election hustings open to the public in the run up to the General Election.

An internal secondment with the Business Development team to develop a project on securing new sources of funding from the NHS.- Seconded to the Business Development team to inform the Trust on opportunities for new business from NHS commissioners, and to establish the charity as a potential service provider to the local NHS.- Conducted in-depth desk-based research and quickly understood this new area of policy including the requirements for contracting with the NHS, funding opportunities, and local strategies and priorities.- Built relationships with local commissioners and initiated conversations on funding and services which led to new contracts for the charity.- Presented at a conference to NHS leaders and commissioning support units on the subject of third sector delivery of NHS services.
