She became a core member of Perth’s premiere improv-comedy ensemble, The Big HOO-HAA!, and has since worked alongside some of Australia’s top comedians, improvisers, and actors. Originally from Donnybrook, Western Australia, Andrea has been affectionately described as ‘the quintessential cousin from the country’ (The West Australian) and Tim Minchin has lauded her as "one of the most exciting, funny, unique, and talented comic performers" he's encountered. An accomplished broadcaster, Andrea presented Weekends with Andrea Gibbs on ABC across Australia from 2015 until 2024, earning a dedicated audience every Saturday & Sunday following Roy & HG.
