Growing up in the Midwest, I always had the urge to get out in the world and find other opportunities that may not have been demonstrated where I grew up. That has manifested into my overall goal to play a part in removing excess impervious surfaces in cities and working in stormwater management in coastal regions. While I do certainly have a preferred focus, an overarching goal of my career is to be a malleable and available coworker, as I heavily value my ability to help those around me in any way I can. I love learning about all different forms of engineering and sciences!During my final year at Michigan Tech, I had taken the role of designing a bioretention system for the Sustainability Demonstration House which has helped me further explore my understanding and passion for stormwater management in urban areas. I worked on a team with three other students in hopes to help naturally mitigate flooding and puddling on campus.I am vastly interested in various surface water principles and environments and emphasize being able to actively collect and analyze data for projects, and see the direct outcome of those projects. Results and those people and environments helped by those results are what motivate me to continue with environmental engineering with such passion.I am also an experienced Front Desk Coordinator with a demonstrated history of working in the higher education industry. As well as being skilled in Recruiting, Scheduling, Team Management, Organization Skills, and Customer-focused Service.
