Served as Mission Director/Flight Meteorologist for the 53 WRS "Hurricane Hunters." More than 1,000 hours flight time in the WC-130H and J models with more than 50 flight penetrations into hurricanes.In-flight mission director on WC-130J aircraft, collecting life-saving data, critical to the National Hurricane Center forecast, improving it by more than 30 percent. A natural leader; made command decision to reverse aircraft course and make an additional land-falling center fix into Hurricane Rita, located three miles inland. Lauded by National Hurricane Center and data sent directly to the President of the United States.Well-versed, experienced and articulate in interviews; interviewed by; all of Fox News, NBC, CNN, NPR, ABC radio and was featured in national articles in the Air Force Times and the Reserve and National Guard Magazine.
