Adjunct Professor for Public Speech and Business Communication

Develop, plan, and conduct public relations and goodwill programs to improve and support C-5 business objectives with the public, industry, stockholders, and/or employees. Plan, prepare, write and disseminate information utilizing print and broadcast media, magazines, speeches, scripts, Intranet and Internet website

Manages and directs 13 public affairs sites across the nation, ensuring each unit meets and exceeds standard and expectations through Staff Assistance Visits and Operational Readiness Inspections. Oversees the news production and operations of each unit and provides consultation to media programs of each unit.

Directs, plans, executes and evaluates high-profile public affairs program promoting positive relations between Air Force Reserve and the surrounding community. Act as Congressional Liaison and represents wing as a member of local civilian and governmental entities. Directs comprehensive media relations and outreach programs. Provides media/public relations advice to commander and wing staff. Speech to congress in 2007 resulted in updated technology for WC-130J and Hurricane Hunters equipment. Served as Mission Director/Flight Meteorologist for the 53 WRS "Hurricane Hunters." More than 1,000 hours flight time in the WC-130H and J models with more than 50 flight penetrations into hurricanes.In-flight mission director on WC-130J aircraft, collecting life-saving data, critical to the National Hurricane Center forecast, improving it by more than 30 percent. A natural leader; made command decision to reverse aircraft course and make an additional land-falling center fix into Hurricane Rita, located three miles inland.
