I am a data engineer at 84.51! I joined the company in June 2023 in their early career new graduate program. I am currently working on within the merchandising analytics space of the company, developing software and data products to benefit Kroger and its customers. I love data and being able to pursue ethical ways to utilize it to generate insights to benefit consumers!In 2023, I graduated from Purdue University with a Bachelor's degree, doubling majoring in Computer Science and Data Science. I also had a concentration in Machine Learning and a minor in Mathematics. I am looking to pursue further education by starting my Master's degree in either Computer Science or Data Science in the coming months. I am passionate about education and maximizing my talent to be able to use it to benefit other people!During my time at Purdue, I was blessed with many opportunities including being a life group leader for Purdue Chi Alpha, a campus ministry. I led a group of men in weekly discussions about the Bible and mentored them through the highs and lows of college and life. I also helped to lead worship services through playing the piano and singing. During the summer before my final year at Purdue, I interned with OpenText as a software engineer and developed code for their Carbonite Endpoint Backup software. Additionally, my freshman year, I continued competing in Assemblies of God Teen Bible Quiz due to an extra year of eligibility due to the COVID-19 pandemic. I placed 1st place individual in the Challenger Division that year. I have continued to stay involved, coaching a team from my home church in the 2022-23 season and volunteering as an official in local and national tournaments. All of these were both very important experiences that helped me grow and prepared me to be a better engineer and leader.
