A four year program adding a global lens. Through many opportunities at school and abroad I am gaining the skills needed to work abroad in the Hospitality field. I hope to obtain an internship during my third year as a study abroad student in Switzerland. Some of the experiences that I have had so far include:*Studied at John Cabot University in Rome,Italy for the fall semester of my freshman year.*Participated in the Spring into Success Conference at the University of Delaware.*Plan to live at the International House Living and Learning Community in Sophomore year along with other International students. Will participate in cross cultural dialogue and community building activities.*Anticipate studying abroad in Switzerland in Year 3 of the program and engaging in internships.*Will present about my on and off campus globally focused experiences along with my academic area of interest at the World Scholars Symposium in the spring of my final year.

Rome Area, Italy

As a first semester freshman, I studied abroad at John Cabot University in Rome,Italy for four months. I took classes in Global Politics, Psychology, Ancient Philosophy, and Math. I lived in a residence hall with other students from all over the world. While in Rome I traveled to many places including Venice, Florence, and Pompeii. By going to these places I was able to experience how different each city and how different the food was. I also went to an olive farm where a friend and I volunteered for a weekend. During that time we helped pick olives, collect them and then take them to get pressed and made into olive oil.
