Our focus was on strengthening women's land rights, promoting gender equality, and empowering women within the cocoa value chain in Ghana.The primary objective of the project was to enhance the capacity of key private sector partners, such as Ecom, to engage with and empower women, thereby fostering social and economic benefits for cocoa farming families and companies involved in the cocoa value chain. Ultimately, we aimed to contribute to a more productive and inclusive cocoa sector in Ghana.As part of my role, I conducted surveys and administered questionnaires to gather baseline data on various aspects, including farmers' profiles, knowledge, attitudes, and behaviors related to gender and women's roles in cocoa farming, income diversification, and their relationship with Ecom. This data collection was crucial for informing program interventions and measuring the impact of our efforts in promoting gender equity and empowering women within the cocoa sector.End Line SurveyAs we near the conclusion of our collaborative efforts to enhance women's land rights and gender equality within Ghana's cocoa value chain, we invited participants to share their insights and experiences through our end-line survey. Their feedback played a crucial role in evaluating the impact of our initiatives and shaping future strategies for empowering women in agriculture.
