Currently I am enrolled as a student and studying personal support worker and my passion for caring for people and learning about how they need to be cared for. I enjoy spending time with people and hearing about their day. You will find me enthusiastic, well spoken, self-confident and pleasant, the type of person that people rely on I am aware that the personal support worker is a job that you need to be compassionate, supportive and most of all enjoy working with older people. I volunteer my spare time at our church and if asked to help out with varies activities. I am well organized, on time, prepared and work with a team or alone. My skills would include for a position within a facility are work smart safety, first aid and hcp. It would be beneficial for me to increase my level of training in regards to new training on lifts, falls risk whatever is available I am continually looking to improve my skills. The level of understanding of a patient which would require person centred care. I would embrace the opportunity to work within your home, long term care home or out in the community. Providing the best person centred care and working as a team would benefit the overall health of our patient’s. The above skills will help me preform my care for each person efficiently and respectfully. As we should also think about dignity, independence, preferences, privacy and safety when providing care for our patients.
