In my role as Director of Communications, I developed the communication strategies for both traditional and social media, and crisis communications plans. I also wrote and managed grants for different projects including voter engagement, census outreach, and educational programming. While my main role was communications I also stepped in as lead on policy and programming when we did not have anyone in this position. I managed and hired people who all had a positive experience at SALDEF.

The role of the Conservation Science Network (CSN) website was to connect WWF scientists from around the world. While I was working there, I elevated the website to include interviews with teams from other countries. This project was aimed at creating engaging content that would allow scientists knowledge on what other countries were researching. I kicked this project off by going to Chile and interviewing the WWF Chile scientists. We immediately got a great response from all the CSN members. Other responsibilities included website administration (including adding/editing pages and structuring information across the portal); moderating discussions/forums; coordinating or writing reviews of the scientific literature; synthesizing relevant science news items; interviewing scientists across the global WWF network to produce profiles or collect items of interest; identifying and inviting WWF scientists to participate in network activities; and generally playing a central role in the Science Network team. My position at World Wildlife Fund (WWF) was a temporary 6-month position, which was extended by a year.

While working at Worldwatch Institute I oversaw the social media outlets, helped develop the State of the World event and wrote blog stories for the website.

During my time at the Council on Foreign Relations (CFR), I mainly worked on running press registration at weekly on-the-record events about foreign policy issues; monitoring and reporting weekly media mentions; fielding daily press inquiries and helping to book expert interviews (including tv, radio, podcast, print, and online); conducting research and building targeted press outreach lists for books and other reports; and conducting research and building press lists for newsletters, podcasts, and newspaper.

Ruschmeyer's is a boutique hotel created in 2011, I was brought in to help open the hotel which included hiring staff; designing finishing touches on the rooms; creating marketing materials; and developing all the procedures for housekeeping and the front desk. I worked closely with the owners and designers of the hotel in the development and opening of the hotel.

Jumeirah Hotels and Resorts was opening a resort and polo club in Argentina. I was brought in to work with investors. This included creating travel itinerary, hosting meetings that talked about the project, and setting up site visits for the investors.
