As a former journalist, I acquired a lot of important skills early in my career. I learned how to find and tell a story that people care about, and how to get things done - correctly, and on a deadline. As a communication strategist, I put myself in the shoes of a CEO, creating value by helping an organization achieve its business goals. In 2001, I founded Strategic Image, Inc., to help companies and nonprofits understand their strengths and weaknesses, leverage opportunities, and mitigate threats. In 2015, I joined forces with Sandra Brodnicki to form The S & G Group. We are communications counselors and trusted advisers--solving problems and delivering results, and providing a broad range of services expertly tailored to the needs of each client.Those efforts have been recognized -- with an international PRSA Silver Anvil Award of Excellence and recognition in the PR News Nonprofit Awards. We've also won dozens of local and regional awards including four Best of Show honors in the annual Greater Fort Worth PRSA Worthy Awards---the most recent being November 2021. We are the only repeat Best of Show winners since the event was instituted in 2012. In 2010, I earned my APR - a voluntary public relations accreditation. In 2013, I was inducted into the PRSA College of Fellows, an honorary organization that recognizes notable public relations leaders and works to further the professionalism and reputation of public relations practice and education. Nationally, less than two percent of PRSA’s 22,000 members have achieved Fellow status. My expertise includes strategic planning, branding, crisis risk assessment and response, issues management, media relations, social media planning, crisis table top planning, and media and presentation training.
