After a dip in sales I was hired to assist building up and strengthening the company and ensure business processes hinged less around the managing director.- Started a sales & marketing department and introduced new marketing channels through which now a significant portion of new business is acquired. - Responsible for setting up recruitment & HR processes and hiring of 15 new staff members.- Introduced Google Apps and cloud based accounting and inventory software solutions. - Initiated several RFQs for selection of supplier for solar panel, lead-acid batteries, lithium-ion batteries and solar water heaters. - Evaluated potential financing options for future growth and in process of developing financed solar water pumping solutions.

After being acquired by Oakland based Sungevity (1000 employees) Amsterdam grew into the European headquarters with 80 employees.- Recruitment and leading of a team of 12 solar specialist & project managers coordinating procurement, installations and aftersales service to customers in the Netherlands, Germany and the United Kingdom.- Responsible for selection of product portfolio and procurement of hardware and installation for 200+ residential/commercial solar power installations per month.- Lowered COGS by 10 % (adjusted for market fluctuations).- Increased NPS (Net Promotor Score) Score from 32% in 2013 to 58% in 2015.- Lead project manager for winning a 2.4MW/4 MEUR home solar tender (group buying scheme)

During this 19.800km journey I wanted to experience the renewable energy transition at first hand and explored the sector by talking with experienced professionals and visiting renewable energy sites along the route. The project was initiated by myself and the electric bicycle used for the trip was sponsored by Gazelle.- Visited 30+ renewable energy sites and met up and wrote about 50+ renewable energy professionals.- Facilitated a workshop developed by Energy Crossroads in 10 different countries for 400+ participants.
