Working to strengthen American democracy by building a better-informed electorate and electing excellent people to office. Currently: On the record spokesperson, communications director and political director for Silicon Valley's next Congressman. Taking a year off of college to lead a first of its kind Gen-Z political consulting firm, bringing a Silicon Valley mindset to campaigns from city council to congress.Previously: Raised money for a student-led nonprofit that engaged college students in local news.Led outreach for a competitive congressional campaign. Managed organizing and hundreds of volunteers, oversaw endorsements and worked alongside candidate and senior campaign officials. Drafted op-eds on behalf of local elected officials. Taught third graders, who tested into remedial summer school, to love learning. Founded and led the Midpeninsula Post, an independent, non-profit student newsroom reaching over 20% (100K unique readers) of Palo Alto, Mountain View and Los Altos. The Post was the only organization to cover local races in all three cities that we did during the 2022 election, without endorsing or taking money from any candidate (all other news orgs that covered those races did both). Published over 400 articles, raised $15K from 100+ donors and sponsors. Coordinated youth conventions with hundreds of attendees, led elected boards, and worked with professional staff at BBYO's Northern California Division.
