Hello, I'm Gil!This year I made some big changes: I moved from Tel-Aviv to the northern region of Israel and started a new position as an Employment Counselor for high-functioning young adults on the Autism Spectrum at the Avnei-Derech association. This new position gives me the opportunity to guide people through their first steps in the labor market. Using my ability to connect with people, I walk my clients through the steps of outlining and building the way of life that is right for them. During my years as a teacher, I discovered how much I love to learn and teach. I enjoyed a way of teaching that required thinking outside the box and delivering the materials required by the Ministry of Education in a varied but systematic way, so as to help the students attain high achievements and success. Over the years, I have worked in various positions in the field of education, and learned how to problem-solve for the future while also being rooted in the "here and now."While teaching, I also completed a Group Facilitation diploma course. It was focused on people with social anxiety, which gave me additional tools to assist my students as well as my current clients with Autism. It has given me the ability to see the needs of the individual and find out what their capacity for action is within a group framework.I am open-minded and respectful of other people's opinions. I love to expand my knowledge and learn by experience. Within each workplace I have joined, I have adapted quickly and have integrated well.I am a good communicator, and love connecting with people from different cultures, as well as creating friendships and good working relationships in my workplace.
