As a Principal Developer, I'm the closest person to the development team before hitting the Engineering management personas. With this, I was put in a position that I need to have knowledge about every project and stack in use on each project and be able to unblock and assist on any engineering need.Among other responsibilities, I'm in charge of creating a new squad to address a specific kind of project inside the company. This is highly demanding in terms of planning, documentation, and people management. Furthermore, this allowed me to put into practice some theoretical knowledge that I had about OKRs and PKI.In terms of technologies, this position put me in contact with all technologies we use in the company, different paradigms, and different client profiles and challenges.

As a lead developer, I managed a team of multiple developers with different backgrounds and personalities. This position also brought some new challenges, like directly dealing with a remote Project Owner (a client) daily, negotiating scope, and even directing some planning sessions with the team to write user stories and do sprint planning.During the last project that I had in this position, I flew to the USA to meet the client in person and take advantage of the opportunity to make crucial decisions around QA, development workflow, application architecture, and more. This was very important to gain project ownership and create a personal connection with the client's development team.During this time, I had the opportunity to work with a different set of technologies, like Ruby with Ruby On Rails, React, Vue, Elixir with Phoenix, GraphQL, and many more.Regarding soft skills, I have developed my spoken English, structured communication, people management, documentation witting, and argumentative power in English.

A front-end developer on Pixelmatters, at the time, was a persona that can do something related to web development work. During this time, I made several websites always for foreign clients, from France to the United States.Pixelmatters is a company that gives special attention to two main things. One is UI, so I had to do pixel-perfect implementations of design specifications on Zeplin, and the other important thing is communication. The development team makes all technical-related communication, not a project manager/owner, which led me to improve my written and spoken English.In terms of technologies, I had the opportunity to work with WordPress, Vue, PHP development, Polymer, the creation of some bash scripts for automation, CircleCI, and a lot of Docker.

I was asked to finish up a project started by a former intern. This project consisted of the management of extracurricular activities of local schools. Once I finished the project before the expected time, I also developed an application that interacts with the Citizenship Card (CC). All technological choices and time management was my responsibility.
