A serial entrepreneur who before HomeRoots, bootstrapped and sold 8-digit figures e-commerce business. Gil was awarded the winner of the “2013 most innovative Web Store” by Amazon. Has BSc. in Computer Science from HIT Israel, and MBA in Marketing & Finance from Rutgers University, New Jersey. Gil started his career as a software developer and quickly went up the ranks in the startup he worked for during the early 2000s. Recognized as a technology innovator, he was invited by multiple software development groups and corporations around Europe to train CTO’s and IT managers for best practices on web development. Gil moved to New Jersey in late 2002 and led a major financial project for ToysRUs networking their physical stores around the globe with their headquarters. While doing so, Gil was first exposed to online commerce after he was asked by ToysRUs to advise on their technical integration with Amazon.com. Since his departure from ToysRUs, Gil launched his online business and consulted various companies in the wholesale, retail, e-commerce and logistics verticals.
