• Duties include performing tasks for routine/emergency cleaning and general maintenance in fully occupied facilities for Dining. Includes, but not limited to:• Moving/empting large trash/recycling containers and dumpsters; move furniture, fixtures, light and heavy tools and equipment. • Using a wide variety of common housekeeping equipment to maintain carpets, hard surfaces and exterior floors. All accomplished by sweeping, dusting, mopping, vacuuming, buffing using various types of equipment to strip, wax, polish, clean, remove graffiti, and maintain the appearance/cleanliness of buildings; clean-up biohazards such as blood, vomit, rodent droppings, clean and remove dead animals and raw sewage. • Clean-up construction debris from new construction and major refurbishment/remodeling projects. • Maintain exteriors by sweeping and/or "blowing down" sidewalks, stairs, or cleaning with high-pressure washers and riding sidewalk scrubbers. • Cleaning elevators, windows, mirrors, walls, ceilings, furniture, appliances, drinking fountains, and related fixtures. • Assisted Store Keeper using an RF scanner to maintain inventory.• Cleaning areas include kitchens, dining rooms, offices, conference rooms, hall ways, lounge areas and bathrooms.• Responsible for opening and locking up facilities.

Maintaining the Hospital in a neat, orderly, and sanitary condition by performing a variety of environmental services: • Maintain hard surface floors by cleaning, buffing, stripping, burnishing & waxing floors. • Transport and secure trash, biohazardous waste and soiled linen.• Maintains appearance and cleanliness of corridors, patient's floors and public areas. • Keeps housekeeping closet clean during the shift and left in a clean, orderly condition at end of shift. Performs room set-ups, and other projects. • Responds immediately and professionally to all in scheduled requests for set-ups or moves. • Keeps utility rooms and transport vehicles clean and sanitized throughout shift activities. • Transports and disposes of infectious waste containers in prescribed manner daily or as needed. • Maintains and uses all equipment in a clean, safe and serviceable condition. • Oversee and order inventory of supplies, for the entire shift.• Receive and stock inventory, approve quantity changes.• Directs all safety or repair needs immediately to supervisor.• Stores all equipment in the proper place while not in use and at the end of regular shift. • Follows all safety, fire, disaster and infection control procedures.• Immediately responds and assists in fire and disaster drills. • Practices Universal Precautions in the performance of all duties. • Lead responsibilities included notifying Supervisor or Manager immediately upon observing any violation of procedures related to fire, safety, disaster or infection control policies, overseeing 8 employees, responsible for writing reports, master key, etc. • Dust mops and damp mops corridors daily.• Maintains cleanliness of walls, doors, baseboards, windows, stairwells, and elevator tracks adjacent to corridors daily. • Removes all necessary equipment left in corridors - beds, linen carts, etc. - to ensure free passage for transporter with patients coming off the elevators. • Performs other duties as assigned
