The services I provide for home care patients include wound care, enteral nutrition, IV care, antibiotic and anticoagulant treatment, etc. I've treated patients with trachs, PEG tubes, brain injuries, respiratory failure, etc. Other patients I've worked with were recovering from back or joint surgery, injuries sustained in MVA’s, etc. I’ve worked in long term care and in a memory-care facility as a CNA.During most of my working career I have interacted directly and intimately with clients. Excellent customer service has always been an integral part of my approach to success. With extensive life experience through the ups and downs of business, I realize the value of employment, readily accept direction and training from others and enjoy learning new skills. With my experience comes reliability, a commitment to quality care and an ability to work autonomously.My educational background and interests are varied and have provided additional skills and experiences that are beneficial in the healthcare field. In addition to my nursing education, I have associate degrees in Business Management and Landscape Horticulture. I also appreciate the variety and value that people of different cultures have to offer. I’ve lived in Tahiti and have visited other countries including Indonesia, Mexico, Honduras, etc. I’ve witnessed the dire need for caring medical attention abroad as well as at home, thus, I completely changed my career path to nursing because of an empathy for and a desire to serve those with physical, emotional and medical needs.Prior to that I worked in various levels of management at retail and wholesale nurseries where I acquired personable and thoughtful customer service skills.
