• Serve as (Lead Logistics Information Technology Specialist) for the Fort Irwin National Training Center (NTC) 916TH Support Brigade S6/CSSAMO, • Provide technical and logistics support on various Logistics Information Systems (LIS) equipment such as Combat Automated Information Systems Interface (CAISI), Combat Service Support Very Small Aperture Terminal (CSSVSAT), Standard Army Ammunition System Modified (SAASMOD),Standard Army Maintenance System (SAMS1& 2, SAMSE),(GCSS Global Combat Support System), Air Craft Notebook (ACN), and other logistics information systems. • Provide oversight, guidance, and technical support for all (LIS) (Logistics Information Systems) equipment assigned to the NTC, research and resolve hardware, software, networking, and applications issues by providing assistance with troubleshooting, repairs, maintenance work, and quality inspections to the National Training Center Units and Rotational Units alike to include LIS Users, NEC, Army Software Development Center, Manufacturers, and Vendors.• Provide installation and support on Software Change Packages (SCP) and Interim Change Package (ICP).• Provide requested information gathered through available documentation such as functional user manuals, regulations, operation manuals and technical manuals.• Provide technical assistance on maintenance standards, policies and procedures to field customers for major/subordinate command managed equipment, monitor & analyze readiness trends or problems, and recommended corrective action to optimize readiness rates, provided maintenance diagnostics software, hardware, and network training through formal/informal classroom training. *Serve as the Automation Systems Support Specialist (eMILPO) within the Fort Irwin National Training Center, Military Personnel Division (MPD) processing a variety of eMILPO/Enterprise Data store *Transactions for military personnel in accordance with established military personnel regulations. Serve by supporting and serving (3) Combat Training Brigades, (2) Aviation Battalions, (1) Joint Operations Center, (1) DENTAC, (1) WTU and VET center for data store transactions supporting approximately 5,000 Soldiers and retirees. Research a variety of reports, individual military personnel records, unit reports, and other sources to resolve errors, omissions, etc. *Operates a computer linked, nonprogrammable data entry and retrieval terminal equipped with CRT, keyboard, and output printer to process transactions and to monitor the update of the database. Maintain mobilization files on all assigned personnel. *Prepare, monitor, and control all unit personnel accountability reports and personnel actions; Perform assistance to units in preparing for and conducting Personnel Asset Inventories (PAIs) in accordance with applicable personnel regulations and maintains associated files. *Review EMILPO/ Enterprise Data store daily output reports for completeness and accuracy of data. Review error listing and various reports to identify, if possible, the reasons for errors. *Contact units/Battalions within the installation to discuss and assist in error resolution as well as the interpretation and use of reports. *Resolve errors identified at HQDA level and returned for resolution. Researches guidelines, identify discrepancies in local transaction codes, and resolve errors involving personnel data elements through review of records, local files, etc. *Assist designated supervisor in identifying problems and trends in EMILPO/ Enterprise Data store usage. Participate in the development of SOPs to reduce error rates and improve system accuracy.
