About Gilbert Eddy

As an accomplished and results-oriented leader, I bring to the table over 28 years of experience marked by a distinctive blend of strategic leadership, personnel development, and financial management. Throughout my career, I have consistently demonstrated the ability to mentor and coach employees, transforming them into collaborative teams capable of delivering award-winning services to customers. My expertise lies in effectively balancing operational, financial, personnel, and regulatory considerations while managing complex projects.Currently, my focus is dedicated to BondFire Ranch, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that embodies my commitment to "Warming the Heart of Families," particularly those of military personnel and first responders. Drawing on my extensive experience, which includes commanding the Air Force’s Port Mortuary and Mortuary Affairs Operation at Dover AFB, I intimately understand the invisible wounds carried by our heroes. BondFire Ranch, situated in the heart of Alabama, represents the realization of my vision—a sanctuary providing equine and outdoor experiences designed for healing, reconnection, and resiliency. Our activities at BondFire Ranch, ranging from horse interactions to bonfires, are intentionally crafted to foster genuine face-to-face connections, free from the distractions of electronic devices. In our inaugural year, we've made a profound impact, touching the lives of over 100 individuals. Each interaction, each moment shared, contributes to our mission of being a beacon of hope where families, especially those who have sacrificed in service, find solace and warmth through authentic human connections. My professional journey has been defined by a commitment to excellence, and I bring this same dedication to BondFire Ranch. As we continue to grow, my aspiration is for BondFire Ranch to not only be a haven for healing but also a testament to the power of genuine connections in transforming lives.
