Gilbert has over 20 years of experience in public accounting. His extensive experience includes financial audits of listed and private companies, financial institutions such as fund management companies, funds, private equities and financial advisers based in Singapore and the Cayman Islands, non-profit organisations as well as multinational companies across a wide range of industries. Gilbert is currently the Industry Lead for Financial Services at Baker Tilly. Baker Tilly's Financial Services Assurance Team commands extensive experience in the Funds Management and Funds sector. Baker Tilly’s clients include financial institutions such as fund management companies, funds, private equities and financial advisers based in Singapore and the Cayman Islands.

Gilbert’s director role in NACN International PAC includes handling a portfolio of diversified audit clients comprising companies mainly in the shipping, trading, manufacturing and construction sectors as well as Small and Medium Enterprises.

Gilbert spend over 10 years in PwC. He started his career with PwC as an associate and was eventually promoted to senior manager in 2010. Gilbert’s audit assurance experience, including over 5 years of experience in a managerial position, includes handling a portfolio of clients across industries listed locally and overseas. During his time in PwC, Gilbert also assisted and provided support to the in-house Learning and Development division, assisting the Firm in training senior associates/associates on required financial reporting standards and Firm’s audit methodology.
