The role at Vyridis is to manage the different business streams of the company as well as the partnerships with relevant companies and universities: - the Life Science R&D and production activities of Alfa Vita (JV in Italy) for Agro and Feed- the global trading and distribution activities in the EU of natural products for food- the global sourcing of specialty chemicals & intermediates and distribution in EMEAA particular high focus in given to different technology development projects of Vyridis: - Process development of extraction of actives ingredients from medicinal plants- Green Technologies

As a member of the global management team of the company, the role at Polygel was to facilitate the business development activities in EMEA, optimize the organizational structure and adjust the product portfolio according to the market demand and market potential. It also includes interactions with the R&D center in Singapore, the production unit in Brunei and more generally global product management activities at both chemical and regulatory levels.

The role was about leading the global business stream Material Science as a part of Intertek Chemicals & Pharma. Material Science includes different sites across the world with different core expertise and different markets. Therefore, harmonizing the offering into attractive value propositions by combining high end technical and scientific skills with the application knowledge across Business Lines (and industry sectors) was an approach that helped clients to find multiple entry points to advanced analytical and consulting support capabilities in Intertek.Additional activities include: organizing the Intertek Regulatory group in Europe, leading strategic acquisition projects as well as new international projects.

General Management position

This role included the organization of the Division in Emerging Economies, in particular the BICME countries. Between September 2012 and November 2013, the function was mainly based in the UAE, following the establishment of a long term contractual partnership between Intertek and the Government of Abu Dhabi (United Arab Emirates) for the consolidation of public laboratories and the setup of recognized quality schemes across the major sectors of the industry.

This role included the conception, the implementation and the management of a “knowledge based” service business employing 250 PhD, engineers and technicians in 13 countries serving target industry sectors such as Pharmaceuticals & Medical Devices, Food & Beverage, Cosmetics, Chemicals as well as other sectors like petrochemicals, Steel, agrochemical, electronics, etc)

This global role required intensive travelling in Europe, North America and Japan and a good understanding of diverse cultural and international business practices. It included: 1) the management of technical units providing a high end technical support to the global business, 2) the participation at key international conferences and the management of a global network of knowledge contributor in the industry, 3) Large contracts negotiation with the main key accounts.
