Under the supervision of the Representative, I provide leadership and representation of the Cluster. I facilitate the processes that ensure a well-coordinated, strategic, adequate, coherent, and effective response by participants in the Cluster that is accountable to those who are affected by the emergency. In the effort to provide an efficient and effective response to the humanitarian crisis, I am responsible for building relationships with stakeholders, for securing the overall coordination of sectoral responses and for ensuring inter-sectoral collaboration.

Cotonou, Littoral, Benin

• Contribute to the effective coordination of the emergency task force, field offices and other internal humanitarian coordination mechanisms• Support the mobilization of resources for humanitarian action• Support emergency preparedness and response processes, monitors progress, provides support for the implementation of key actions • Provide effective support to the management and development of staff • Raise the profile of the office through innovative approaches• Maintain liaison with Government, UN agencies, NGOs, donors and allies in support of the special needs of children and women affected by emergencies

Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso

• Responsible for all cluster coordination activities in Burkina Faso, including: Supporting service delivery (through regular quality meetings); informing Humanitarian Country Team (HCT) decision-making on education in emergencies (EiE) issues; contributing to strategic planning and strategy development (Humanitarian Response Plans/HRP, Humanitarian Needs Overview/HNO); supporting advocacy in relation to operational concerns (such as humanitarian access); monitoring and sharing periodic reports on achievements, building sub-national capacity and developing contingency plans (in case of a new crisis or escalation); and monitoring accountability to affected communities (complaints and feedback mechanism). I demonstrated track record in setting up and coordinating the education cluster, with an average of 60 partners; 400,000+ school-age children targeted in a complex emergency.• I actively participated in the Humanitarian Action for Children (HAC) planning and implementation process, from needs analysis to reporting (I was responsible for the education chapter in the SITREP).• Provided technical support to the Government, including the effective implementation of its national EiE strategy, resource mobilization and advocacy on key community concernsMain achievements: I set up six sub-national education clusters and one national cluster within two and a half years. I also contributed to the process of institutionalizing the Humanitarian-Development-Peace Triple Nexus in the education sector, in line with the SDGs, while respecting the principle of "Leave No One Behind", and globally putting into practice UNICEF's core values and teamwork dynamics. Finally, I supported the process of updating the national strategy for education in emergencies, integrating all the vulnerabilities that affect the education sector)

Ouagadougou

• Technical support to the education section: (i) co-responsible of over 11 million US$ budget for education programmes and direct supervision of the education in emergencies programmes implementation in security challenge areas (6 regions affected by the conflict).• I quickly developed projects in the new context of the COVID-19 pandemic, in order to ensure educational continuity and educational alternatives to more than 800,000 students impacted by the closure of schools, with funding from the Global Partnership for Education fund and Education Cannot Wait.• In 2020 I represented Burkina Faso at the "Elevating Education in Emergencies" event, a series of four thematic meetings unpacking the centrality of education in humanitarian response. Convened by the Permanent Mission of Norway to the UN and the Permanent Mission of Switzerland to the UN and facilitated by the Global Education Cluster (GEC), this four-part series started in 2018 and came to end with the final event on 3 April 2020Main achievement: I supported the development of a national response plan to COVID-19 for educational continuity in the context of the pandemic. I have also developed a manual of national standards for education in emergencies, in collaboration with the Ministry of Education : bfa_normes esu_guide cluster education

• Technical support to the Education department through a range of activities including Development of technical tools, staff trainings, mid-term reviews, Education and Child Protection projects (log frames, budgets, and proposals for funding from a wide range of donors), needs assessment, etc.Main achievements: Mid-term review of a regional project implemented in 8 countries in Central and Eastern Africa, needs assessment of crisis- affected children and one Education-Protection project (for ECHO).

Niamey

• Responsible for the overall coordination of the Education cluster in Niger: Same as above• Participated in the UNICEF's Humanitarian Action for Children (HAC) planning and implementation: Same as above• Provided technical support to the Government, including the effective implementation of its regional strategy for the development of emergency schools in the Diffa region, particularly affected by the Lake Chad Basin crisis.Main achievement: I influenced the activation of an emergency unit within the Regional Department of Education, for greater government ownership of education in emergencies in the Diffa region (the most affected by the crisis).

Goma,République Démocratique Du Congo

- Coordination of the whole Education cluster with UNICEF at sub-country level in the North Kivu Province / DRC. The intervention involved more than 50,000 school-aged children, including IDP, returnees, refugees and vulnerable children girls and boys, to ensure access to quality basic and non-formal education.- Development of Education projects (formal and non formal) in terms of log frames, budgets and proposals for funding from a wide range of donors including UNICEF, NORAD and WFP. Main achievement : I co-supervised, in collaboration with the INEE network, the development of thecontextualization manual for the INEE minimum standards in DRC (Hyperlink: Contextualized INEE Minimum Standards: DRC North Kivu | INEE).

Bukavu,République Démocratique Du Congo

Coordination of the whole Education cluster with UNICEF at sub-country level in the South- Kivu Province / DRC. The intervention involved more than 70,000 school-aged children, including IDP, returnees, refugees and vulnerable children girls and boys, to ensure access to quality basic and non-formal education.Main achievement: I set up a regional cluster and two sub-regional clusters to ensure better operational coordination.
