TPG Telecom has Fibre to the Node & Basement cabinets, , Ciena DWDM , Alcatel-Lucent & Huawei SDH transmission &Layer 2;3 IP equipments , Nortel PVG, Cisco IP core, Lucent & Huawei DSLAM “VDSL,SHDSL,ADSL”, Hatteras MBE ,3G 4G 5G Mobile network and various other telecommunications systems.-Supervise the performance of all services, telecommunications equipment and supporting facilities.-Planning and management of network change management requests.-Investigate and advise solutions for equipment configuration for additional services and service problems.-Inspect and perform quality appraisal on contractor’s installations ensuring they conform to TPG Telecom specifications. .-React to fibre breaks and supervise fibre splicing when required within defined time frames-Installation and Bit Error Rate Testing of eNTU’s at Customer premises.-Investigate customer complaints and repair faults.-Perform equipment Installation, configuration, testing and commissioning of all TPG Telecom equipment.-Assist with software upgrades and equipment expansions.-Perform preventative and routine maintenance of all telecommunications equipment and Data Centres facilities.-Maintain fault log of all activities and administer fault management.-Conduct audit visits to Mega-Pop, Mini-Pops and Regen Sites for defect procedure process.-Provide assistance and technical support to NOC, billing, activation’s, sales and customer support groups.-Liaise with other telecommunications carriers, equipment suppliers’ technical assistance centres, building managers as and when required.
