After serving an Intern for the City of San Bernardino's Finance Department, I am happy to serve as a Management Analyst within the City of San Bernardino's newly developed Grants Division within the City Manager's Office. My experience with the City's Finance Department has focused on helping form and create a new division from the ground up understanding the benefits of being a role player and establishing a working culture benefited by being a team. My experience has led me to work with both financial and decision-making data that has exposed me to configuring, handling, and structuring data for purposes ranging from reporting to storytelling. The role consists of working with administrative business issues revolving human resource management, program outcomes, capital planning, and decision making. Meanwhile, the other side of the coin comes with analysis, providing technical assistance, and working with software. It's a role that has catered to what I hope to achieve in the organizations I work with, being someone willing to learn new skills. My educational history consists of receiving my Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Cal State University San Bernardino in May 2021 and a Master of Science in Business Analytics from the University of Redlands in March 2023. A few technical skills developed through these programs include learning principles of predictive, prescriptive, and descriptive analytics and the tools that complement these skills, like Python, R, Tableau, GIS applications, and other software.
