• Routine Preventive Maintenance on MTN DWDM Transmission Equipments Node Elements (OSN 3500,6800,8800 and 9800. BWS 1600G) on different transmission routes.• Provide high level technical support for Regional Field Support Engineers in the resolution of transmission faults; minimize network downtime.• Field Operation and Maintenance of Huawei,Tellabs,Ericson etc MUXs and ADM with SDH,DWDM, OTN , OADM and IP,• Quality Control Supervision on Tellabs DWDM (6350 & 6370) equipments handled by Aviat Networks for AIRTEL Nigeria on different transmission routes to meet with target SLA. • Managing Sub Contractors handling transmission related projects (Fiber segment maintenance contractors, Equipment maintenance, Microwave Radio Installation Operation and Maintenance etc).Proffer solutions to repetitive transmission network faults affecting network quality and availability.

• Support in the Surveying, deployment, testing and maintenance of Synchronous Transfer Modules (STM 1-64), E1s and DS3s using TCP/IP technology to GSM network operators on different transmission routes. • Provide support in managing projects through its life cycle especially projects given to external contractors and vendors to include project definition and Initiation, Project monitoring, Project Acceptance testing and sign off etc.• Carrying out routine preventive maintenance activities on all DWDM equipments configured as OMT, OLA, FOADM and ROADM, including on their functional cards.• Support in the Maintaining of last mile connection between Phase3 Telecom and the clients (mostly GSM operators). • Maintenance of transmission infrastructure co-located or remotely located with Phase 3 equipments. • Carrying out capacity upgrade of transmission resources. • Generation of daily fault log and report writing.• Enabling transmission connectivity for the integration and re-parenting of new clients.• Trouble ticketing and monitoring alarms generated by the communication equipments.• Managing a group of transmission Engineers.• Ensuring constant Power Supply on network Transmission centers. (Maintain Inverters and Battery Banks).

• Provide Support (Including Pre sales support, Project Definition and Initiation etc) for the deployment of a 10Gb Ethernet connection over DWDM in ABU Zaria.

• Maintenance of ZAIN Fiber optics cables linking BTS, BSC, MSC, OMT on different transmission routes within the Abuja Operational region (Especially on Abuja to Zaria transmission route.)• Routine preventive maintenance on ZAIN BTS, MSC, OTM, BSC• Testing of ZAIN Fiber Optic Cable on different transmission routes using OTDR from BTS, BSC and MSC to troubleshoot and resplicing points of failure with a Mean Time to Repair (MTTR) of less than 9 hours to bring the link back up.• Remote log on and maintenance of DWDM equipments to clear alarms.• TELLAB DWDM functional card (OFA, CCMC, OSC) maintenance.• 24 hours Route surveillance of ZAIN transmission infrastructures within the Abuja Operational Region.
