Developed real-time embedded software for the Materials Experiment Assembly (MEA), a Space Shuttle experiment which flew on STS-7. The MEA project involved open-loop control of three furnaces. The astronaut had only to power on the system and actuate a switch to begin a particular experiment. This software was written using an application-specific language.
