Started my cadetship training in 1994 and remained with the same company until I received my first command at the age of 29 in early 2006. The master mariner has the overall command on board and is responsible for the crew, the vessel, the cargo carried and the environment (Key Achievement: I am the youngest Filipino master mariner of the company and the record stands until today).

Pioneered the use of the TRANSAS NT3000 simulator in-house training and developed the course syllabus including the objective grading system which is still in use today. My primary function was to identify the training needs of the students and maximize knowledge transfer by innovative use of technology and presentation to optimize learning.

Developed and taught numerous maritime training and simulator courses and participated in several government-initiated cadet training on pro-bono basis and received two awards for exemplary performance in 2004 and 2005.
