• Perform day to day surveillance of CBT’s landline switch, wireless switch, and associated transport equipment. Perform daily Triage based upon the telemetry alarms and messages sent by other 100 different pieces of.
• Monitor the above network elements via telementry with raw data and/or via vendor specific GUI’s; for alarms and network health conditions.
• Interpret the raw data and GUI data for troubles, network events and/or congestion issues.
• Respond to this data by troubleshooting to the least common denominator then either fixing the faulty equipment, or refering it to the proper field technician for resolution.
• Use multiple vendor specific software for resolution of troubles: Fujitisu, Nortel, Lucent, Ericsson, Alcatel, DSC, and others.
• Keep upper management aware of all times of customer affecting troubles and outages.Note: Break in Service was due to an opportunity to work in the field that I applied for and was accepted. Due to corporate.

• Performed activities to keep the C.O safe and clean; so as to not cause any equipment failures due to dirt and dust. Duties include but not limited to:
• Housekeeping inside and outside the Central Office environment.
• Constantly working around sensitive electrical equipment. Including Switch/Transport as well as the power areas of the C.O.
• Making minor repairs to equipment such as buffers and vacuums.
• Maintained inventory supplies for housekeeping and various other work groups by use of the SMARTSSystem.

• Responsible for the “Remote Telecommunications Equipment” Cabinets, Huts, Buildings, Controlled Environmental Vaults and leased facilities for CBT. There are over 1,500 facilities that must be maintained on an annual.
• Coordinate the annual servicing of the remote networks, ensure that each site gets an inspection, these are divided into CBT Owned/Leased Sites and sites that are on customers premise’s.
• The inspections include the testing of batteries for the 48vdc power plant, grounding, safety, and general maintenance of the real property.
• Run on equipment troubles, troubleshooting in the remote network, rectifier failures, faulty line packs, faulty processor packs, to standard span trouble in the copper physical plant.
• CBT’s remote network consists of over 15 different vendor types, with multiple configurations in the field.
