JOB DESCRIPTION:Perform engineering work requiring application of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria in carrying out a sequence of related engineering tasks. Independently evaluates, selects, and applies standard engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria, using judgment in making adaptations and modifications.Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:- Utilizing analytical and problem solving skills to complete activities associated with assigned project(s)- Designing tooling and fixtures to support manufacturing processes- Assisting with facility layout activities- Developing and implementing solutions to manufacturing problems and improvements to manufacturing methods-Development and presentation of answers to technical questions-Performs other duties as assignedEducation and Experience Requirements-Must be currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Manufacturing Engineering, or Mechanical EngineeringSkills and Abilities:-Willing to be hands-on in lab or manufacturing facility-Team player-Excellent verbal and written communication- Good problem solving and analytical skills-Ability to multitask-Proficient in using Excel, Word, and PowerPoint-Proficient in SolidWorksWorking Conditions and Physical Demands:Manufacturing environment. -Perform Time Travel Studies to support ITS Dynamic Message Signs-Review and extract information from large volumes of data (traffic video, crash reports, etc.) to support various State sponsored research efforts

- Analyzing traffic data using advanced traffic software and ensuring validity of data- Assisting with the preparation of final reports for the P.E.- Performing Quality Control duties to guarantee excellent deliverables- Drafting/CAD Modeling of project design plans utilizing MicroStation
