Responsibilities included technical, programmatic and operational leadership of four Safety Basis (SB) organizations and a nuclear criticality safety organization totaling 90+ employees with an overall budget of $30 million per year. The primary mission of the program is protection of the public, workers and the environment by establishing defensible, cost-effective, documented, and implemented SB commensurate with facility hazards. Collaborated daily with stakeholders (regulators, facility operations, technical authorities, senior management, and SB staff) to resolve complex technical issues while adhering to regulatory, budget and schedule constraints.

P&T Program responsibility for 60+ technical staff with an overall budget of ~$9 million per year. Led organizational development of all LANL P&T activities and operations including: safety basis development and implementation; ES&H management; security; quality assurance; work control; packaging engineering; equipment engineering; maintenance management; contract labor negotiations; materials management; waste management; inventory control; materials purchasing; shipping, and receiving operations. Championed complex wide and LANL wide hazardous materials management lean six sigma projects and received PADOPS award of excellence in nuclear safety, operations, engineering and quality assurance.
