I am a journalist (print, online, and audiovisual), and an experienced Marketing Manager with a passion for culture and expertise in video production. I have been working in communications for more than 15 years, starting off as a press officer for the Italian literary award Premio Elsa Morante chaired by the Italian writer Dacia Maraini (which I keep organising with the homonymous Association) then as a journalist for some tv channels in Italy (I have been in the register of professional journalists since 2008). After I graduated in Communication Science at the University Suor Orsola Benincasa in Naples with a a thesis on Irony in Advertising, I moved to the Uk. Here, I completed my Master’s degree in Film and Tv Production at the Anglia Ruskin University in Cambridge, with a thesis entitled “Music first” about the American film director Quentin Tarantino’s use of music. Among my own favourite projects there is “Enlightened windows”, an observational documentary filmed in Cambridge inspired by artists such as Edward Hopper, film directors like Hitchcock with his Rear Window, and photographers such as Gail Albert Halaban and Michael Wolf. My main documentary project is about "The Castle of Otranto", the first gothic novel by the English author Horace Walpole, set in the castle of southern Italy. In 2018 I started working in marketing at La Dante in Cambridge, European Cultural Centre, one of the 500 organisations over the world linked to the Società Dante Alighieri in Rome. In this company I love spreading my love for languages and culture (Italian, Spanish, and English) and I run a trilingual podcast on Radio Dante. In my job I like engaging with people, university students and languages students giving my positive contribution to help them achieve their personal goals. I strongly believe in the power of the single individual to make the difference as well as in the teamwork. I handle workflow processes and talent resourcing as a creative operational leader while delivering business value to my organisation through a strategic problem solving approach.
