My primary responsibilities are as follows:• To develop products to meet the needs of the customer working closely with engineers and platform managers of Ford and Chrysler and GM.• Conduct weekly conference calls and give progress reports to the customer.• Coordinate the testing a validation activities for proving out the new designs ensuring that they meet the customers set of requirements in there engineering specifications.• Work with the Stant production plants to coordinate supplier change validations and material shortages.• Follow the APQP (Advanced Product Quality Process) process to ensure that products meet the expectations of the customer.• Give a weekly internal progress report on the status of programs.• Prototyping of new designs to develop new products to meet the future needs of customers. Coordinate work with outside tool shops and molding facilities, writing purchase orders for services.Achievements:• Worked with Ford to update the Graphics printed on a fuel cap.• Launched a new SCR cap for Chrysler Dodge Ram, Jeep and Fiat Diesel Vehicles.• Developed a new fuel cap to meet Fiats requirements for their Ducato Program.• Prototyped new capless refueling unit for permeation testing at Chrysler.• Developed new tether design that performs better than existing tethers.• Working to develop and launch GM Gen II capless 48mm and 48mm mechanical seal.• Patent Pending for delayed closing fuel filler capless door.
