Have worked in the food industry since 1999 mainly within the finance function spanning Supply Chain, Commercial, Reporting & Planning, Strategy, Off-shoring of Finance function, ERP implementation, M&A and business disposals. I have worked for Birds Eye Foods and Walls ice cream at Unilever, KP Snacks, McVities Cake company and Biscuits at United Biscuits so have experienced working within different food segments across Frozen and Ambient and different trading channels incl. Grocery, Discounters, Convenience and Impulse, foodservice and Vans businesses both U.K. and export. I have also worked with varying ownership structures including Plc, PE backed, JVs and family owned creating the ability to take the best bits and experience from all to create a well rounded, very commercial CFO/Managing Director.

Cfo And Managing DirectorKp Snacks Apr 2012 - PresentSlough, GbSit on a board of 3 running the KP Snacks business, with over £650m turnover and c.2,500 employees, leading the delivery of c. 30% CAGR returns on equity since the 2013 acquisition (10x return on equity) of KP by the Intersnack group. KP Snacks Enterprise value of c£2bn now (from £500m in 2013) would place it in the top FTSE 200 companies. The role covers a stand alone finance, IT and legal operation as KP is part of heavily decentralised group operation in Germany.The role highlights include:- Led the acquisition of Butterkist in 2017, Tyrrells and Popchips in 2018. - Lead the commercial decision making with other board members to become the fastest growing branded manufacturer in the snacks category for the past 6 years 2016-2022- Led the Sale of KP to many potential PE bidders and eventually Intersnack in 2013.- Led the carve out of the KP Snacks Business from United Biscuits (Pladis) in 2012 alongside KP Executive team into a stand alone KP Snacks business (People, processes and systems)- Integrated Intersnack UK with KP Snacks which involved: 4 factory closures, the building of a brand new nuts factory, the move to a new head office, closure of a shared service centre and a cultural change project.- Delivered new ERP and management systems in to the new KP business with no service disruption in 2013.- Led the business through a cyber attack in 2022External award recognitions have been received over the past 6 years for the KP business for our brands, from our customers and for our cultural change project. Culminating in being ranked in the top U.K. snacking manufacturers by our companies and 28th best company to work for by our employees. In 2018 KP Snacks was delighted to be awarded the Business Transformation award for the food and drink industry at the IGD awards for the turnaround and growth of the business alongside a cultural change creating a fantastic business for all 2500 of our employees to work for!
