About Giles Crosse

I'm a career journalist/editor and communications consultant. I've been writing features/reports/campaigns/web copy, content strategy, scripts and thought leadership for major clients for some 20 years now. Specialisms include corporate sustainability, plus corporate communications strategy and engagement. Analytics and content creation are a core part of this. I've completed a spell as Communications Consultant to United Nations Principles for Responsible Investment this September, (£46,000 pro rata 3 x days/week) and I'm keen to discuss new work. Additionally, I've been freelancing consultancy to CDP. My specialist areas include sustainability, extractives and the environment, development, humanitarian issues, poverty alleviation, climate change, low carbon energy, Net Zero, NGOs, ESG reporting and corporate/b2b content authoring and communications strategy. I spent 2013/15 working as an embedded journalist with NGOs: Fauna Forever in the Peruvian Amazon, Azafady in Madagascar and Shallow Waters in Cambodia, writing on poverty, global sustainable development, humanitarian issues and the challenges and opportunities therein.I’ve contributed to outstanding journalistic and editorial clients: BBC, Economist, EDIE, Ethical Corporation, The Guardian, Reuters and the United Nations Environment Programme / United Nations Principles for Responsible Investment (UNPRI). I’ve written for EMAP, Haymarket, The Prince’s Charities and many smaller publishing houses, journals and websites.On corporate communications and strategy, I've worked as content strategist, consultant, developer and author for many low carbon communication agencies, in addition to supplying freelance thought leadership content sets (whitepapers/blogs/infographics/video content/scripts/speeches/video interviews) to EDF Energy, Natwest/RBS, Santander, Peugeot and Ernst & Young.
