I managed a team focused on Primary Research, integrating an analytics capability into it. Over a two-year period, I led the team to increase its output by 33% whilst reducing spend by 15%. I achieved this by changing the selection and management of external research partners, and consolidating disparate business requests into holistic research programmes.As well as delivering answers to business questions across the whole UK business, I implemented a company-wide segmentation focused on the differing service needs of 3m+ customers - the first of its kind to be tagged against customer records.And I supported and encouraged team members to promotions, achieving major steps in their career and personal development.

I designed several new propositions which tested well in research and a few which went on to land well in the market. Notably, I specified a new Pension-Drawdown proposition in response to the 2014 Budget - which went on to become the UK's fastest growing proposition of its type in the UK. I also led the design and development of adviser charging in response to the Retail Distribution Review, helping Prudential gain great feedback from many advisers for its approach and support.

I determined pensions strategy, in light of anticipated market drivers and company aspirations, and specified a portfolio of proposition developments to deliver the pension strategy and support wider company objectivesMajor achievements:• Analysed potential impacts of proposed Personal Accounts on Group and Individual Pensions, and recommended a market strategy showing how Prudential’s offer bettered industry proposals.• Defined schedule of pension developments and investment spend over 3-year horizon• Coordinated review of all Prudential UK Products in light of Treating Customers Fairly requirements, and made additional controls in product development process which received praise from the industry’s regulator.• Developed Prudential's strategic response to 2006 pension regulation changes, and associated propositions• Developed SIPP Fund addition for existing personal pension, leading to increased adviser engagement and doubling of annual sales
