Whilst at University Giles founded his first business in 1991 in the educational tourism sector. In 1995 Giles founded Logos Technologies with a mission to develop technology to shorten the time it takes to develop lifesaving drugs. Whilst initially working in the pre-clinical life sciences area, Giles saw an opportunity in the early phase Clinical Trials market which was predominantly untouched by technology. Giles was one of the pioneers of Electronic Data Capture in clinical trials and through Logos Technologies went on to develop one of the world’s first eSource Electronic Data Capture systems ALPHADAS® Its automated solutions were used predominantly in early Phase clinical trials by clinicians and patients.Clients included several top tier Pharmaceutical and Contract Research Organisations as well as world leading academic institutions.Giles grew Logos organically whilst steering the business through a highly regulated industry. Won multiple million-pound contracts worldwide in a competitive market. Through successful leadership Giles turned the business into a highly profitable Company. Giles sold the Logos group to Instem PLC in 2013. Following a successful 2 year Earnout Giles worked alongside Instem until December 2016 before taking time out to further his property development ambitions.Now based in Winchester, Giles has combined his enjoyment of teaching with his 25 years as an entrepreneur, founder and CEO into helping start-ups and SMEs with mentoring and consulting services. Giles is also an investor in a number of different business areas, predominately in MedTech and Eco-Minded and sustainable businesses.Giles also spends some of his time in sustainable property development & renovation with a specific interest on intelligent smart home automation.
