My academic work is currently looking at the intersection of social media moderation and how that effects fandom spaces on those social media websites. I look at the way in which self-moderation has caused a change in the anti-fan archetype, and how this new anti-fan may be harmful to fandom spaces as a whole. Using my bachelor's degree in sociology as bedrock, I combine an interest in human-human interaction with human-algorithm-human interaction to look at this new fandom landscape.My professional work is currently based on my freelance writing and copywriting. I have a past in journalism, having written and worked on layout design throughout high school and college, as well as working for Sex, ETC during my high school years.
