Job role as the supplier chain manager (director) at the D&A (Demolition and Attachment) Heavy Industry in Hwasung South Korea belonging to Epiroc group. Responsible for managing purchasing buyers and strategical purchasers for direct material purchasing according to the purchasing policy. SCM team management and implementation of cost-saving projects to meet the company target. Regularly basis management team meetings are held to report the inventory stock level and handle all relevant matters in the supply chain.

SCM director position in DandA heavy industries as the group of Epiroc (span off from Atlas Copco). Direct reporting to the GEM about category management, strategic sourcing, commercial purchasing, cost saving, purchasing agreement, price negotiation and all other supply chain matters.

Responsibilities: Suppliers’ quality & shipping performance management and leading NPI program - Work role as a Supplier Development Engineer (previous job roles were Supplier Quality Engineer, Process Control Engineer and Supplier Relationship Management) at the Global Purchasing &Procurement department covering Korean suppliers more than 7 years. - Covering 52 million USD spending in year 2017 from my responsible Korean suppliers to Caterpillar facilities with excellent shipping & quality performance. - Direct material procurement job role in steel casting and forging component. - Those suppliers were certified SQEP level of Platinum, Gold, Silver and Bronze (Supplier Quality Excellence Process) from Caterpillar from my supplier management. - Advanced background on the steel material and its manufacturing process - Work with eligible suppliers located in south Korea for the steel material components development and supplying to several facilities (US, China and EU) of Caterpillar which is the largest construction & mining machinery and engine manufacture located in IL, USA. - Strong background and experiences in Global 8D, CI project, APQP/PPAP (PFD, CP and PFMEA), Capacity analysis, QMS audit, manufacturing process assessment (steel & iron foundry , forging and heat treatment) and QCLDM assessment.

Responsibilities: New product development & process improvement. - Advanced background / knowledge on Aluminum alloy and its manufacturing process especially in the rolled product industries as well as cold rolled steel strip from previous work experiences with strong leadership and ownership, commitment and integrity. - Advanced metallurgical engineering background in Aluminum and steel rolling and steel casting and forging process. - Wide experiences in the material manufacturing process and its several facilities in ferrous and non-ferrous industries and also knowledge background of infra structure of material industries in Korea. - Advanced experiences in experimental tasks such as mechanical, fatigue, corrosion, material micro & macro structure, surface topography, earing, hardness, heat treatment and familiar with several experimental tools related to material inspection and research purpose. - Wide experiences and achievement in new product development (NPI) in transportation industries by applying Aluminum alloy - Several experiences in completion for innovative and process improvement projects.

Responsibilities: PM for the new facility investment & facility revamping project - Project: New Cold Rolling Mill (18-Hi rolls) for High Carbon Steel Strip and New Skin Pass Mill (2-Hi) expansion Receiving machine specification from several suppliers and review it. Process layout and processing flow were examined, making initial contract draft and making final report and analysis, comparison, and reporting to top management to make a decision for final contract. 1) Controlling project master schedule for local manufacturing equipment and accessory. Studying Level2, 3 system (Automation). - Project: Revamping works for A.G.C system of Existing Cold Rolling Mill. Reviewed machine and electrical specifications and presented technical kick-off meeting with suppliers. Supervised installation of hydraulic pipe, main cylinder, thickness gauge (beta ray), several valves. Participated in operation training Germany with few colleagues for this A.G.C (Automatic Gauge Control) system. Also, translated several manual for operators and technical engineers. Successful commissioning and performance test were archived for short time because of well organized project schedule. Also, managed supervisors from German supplier. - Project: Acid Regeneration Plant Investment Project Participated as a junior project manager of mechanical, civil construction, piping engineering and acid pump supervisor. It was long time period project to be completed. Basically, this plant is chemical plant. We didn’t have any experience to install and operating this kind of facility. It was very hard time to work as fresh engineer. However, best operating condition for regenerated acid (for acid cleaning line) and iron particles as a byproduct (sold to other customer). From this experience, I had learned lots of installation method, mechanical engineering and chemical logics. After completion this plant I could take the opportunities for several projects.
