I manage a 32 bedded dementia specialist community care centre, including rehabilitation, respite and long stay beds, a day centre, a public cafe, conference room and treatment rooms which are all used by the local community.I have developed this service from its original CQC rating of 'requires improvement' through the implementation of staff development, safe and effective systems and a robust system of auditing practice and outcomes.I have developed a fantastic fundraising team which ensures our residents have access to a wide range of activities ranging from visiting entertainers to music and horticultural therapies and recently a joint initiative with an independent Occupational Therapist to develop a team of care staff to deliver 'Bring Dance to Care' therapy to our clients.I have a 'Can Do' approach and thrive on problem solving and rising to challenges.
