HiThanks for reading... I'm Gill, a Scot who has lived in Finland for 13 years. I have citizenship for both the UK and Finland. In the UK, I worked in a variety of mental health positions in both qualified and unqualified posts with a wide range of health professions. More recently, I have over 9 years experience in creating and curating content for my personal blog, Realweegiemidget Reviews Films, TV, Books and more. Ideally, I would like to find a job which uses these experiences in a creative way.After moving to Finland, Iworked and taken a number of work placements with children or in mental health. I have completed my TEFL (150 hours including a course on teaching children of 30 hours) course. I passed the Finnish YKI language test with the pass level for speaking, listening, reading comprehension and writing at Level 3. I passed a course to be a care assistant in the Finnish language. I have taught English to children and adults with mental health problems in work placements as a school assistant, kindergarten assistant and as a worker in a mental health club house.I started my blog, Realweegiemidget Reviews Films, TV, Books and More in October 2015. I have over 1100 posts, 3,500 readers monthly and over 1000 followers. I write posts about evergreen entertainment such as Films, TV, Books and more, and have had over 292,733 reads in just over 9 years. I actively use social media, SEO and enjoy collaborations with filmmakers and my writing peers.I am an enthusiastic and versatile writer and able to hone my post to the themes concerned. I write with passion about all subjects and genres. I enjoy researching my posts and add quotes from critics - such as Roger Ebert - to support my work. I particularly enjoy interviewing filmmakers and I have been lucky to interview actresses - such as Morgan Brittany from Dallas (1978-91) - and filmmakers including Stacey Souther who worked as producer and director for Valerie, A Portrait of Valerie Perrine (2019). I have written reviews for many authors and filmmakers, and many return to ask me to review more of their workI always transfer many of my skills gained throughout my career to other work settings. Skills transferred include research, analysis, assessment, evaluation, and report writing skills. I am a member of five critic associations - OAFFC, OFTA, CMBA, WFFC and The LAMB - where I take an active and supportive role with other members. I enjoy particularly enjoy researching the content of biopics, and writing about entertainment topics related to mental health in the evergreen niche.
