I am a garden designer based near Exeter in Devon and established Freshgreen Garden Design in 2006 by to create unique, sensitively developed gardens. I am concerned to promote sustainability in my designs and to shift people’s focus towards wildlife as well as using reclaimed and recycled materials alongside traditional concepts of beauty in a garden.Having originally studied sculpture at Norwich School of Art and with a PhD in Fine Art, I combine three dimensional skills with my expertise as a creative project facilitator and my love of gardens, plants and landscapes. I have spent a a large part of my career working as a creative project facilitator with young people in school and neighbourhood settings, with older people living with dementia, and with local neighbourhoods. Through this work I have learnt to listen carefully to people's individual wishes, to take the time to find out about my clients, and to draw out their own creative ideas and personal requirements.
