Volunteer Coordinator
CurrentLead on the recruitment, support, training, and co-ordination of volunteers for OnFife, achieved through the development and promotion of volunteers and volunteering opportunities and supporting staff and volunteers to work together.• Leading on the planning, delivery and reviewing of an effective volunteering programme across OnFife• Providing ongoing co-ordination and support to volunteers in-line with OnFife Volunteer Policy and Guidance• Promoting and championing the role of volunteers so that they are respected and valued for their contribution. This includes organising effective recognition events; developing mechanisms to celebrate the achievements of volunteers and putting volunteers forward for awards where appropriate• Keeping OnFife Volunteer Policy and Guidance up to date, in-line with legislation and current developments relating to volunteering• Ensuring that there is appropriate training and support for volunteers and staff• Raising staff awareness of the role and the function of volunteers and promoting volunteering, within the organisation at all levels• Working with OnFife colleagues to identify and break down barriers to volunteering and identifying volunteering opportunities• Liaising with OnFife teams to promote volunteering internally and externally• Ensuring evaluation procedures are followed by Supervisors for volunteers as per OnFife Volunteer Policies and Procedures• Assisting with the preparation of relevant funding applications• Preparing reports on the impact of volunteers across OnFife and other key stakeholders• Providing support to staff who directly manage/supervise volunteers• Maintaining good working relationships with external partners• Maintaining effective electronic and paper-based office information systems, as well as undertaking cash handling duties including administering volunteer expenses in line with OnFife policies
