I am a partner in the corporate department of Brodies' Aberdeen office. I graduated from Edinburgh University in 1988 and have specialised in corporate and commercial law for over 20 years.I have extensive experience in relation to business start ups, incorporations, LLPs and partnerships, M&A transactions from both vendor and purchaser perspectives, shareholder arrangements and partnerships, joint ventures and equity investments. I work closely with directors and their companies in relation to corporate governance and business structures. I advise clients involved in many sectors including oil and gas services, food and drink and hotels and leisure. I have particular expertise in the corporate and commercial aspects of the fishing industry with extensive practical experience of the sector, offering advice on a wide range of matters including vessel purchases and sales, bank security work, vessel licence and fishing quota transactions and fishing businesses.I am a notary public and have tutored at both Aberdeen University and The Robert Gordon University in Company and Commercial Law, Corporate Finance and Acquisition and Professional Ethics.
