In 2020, the project DetectIR was born. New project means new challenges. In 2021, our project was selected to join the StartLAB in which I am focusing on developing skills in business and management to complete my set of engineering skills in order to develop a medical device for the detection of veins.

This position ensures the sustainability of the association. Indeed, the organisation of the Job Fair Engineers ULB represents the main income of the Cercle Polytechnique. In total, this represents 150k€ of incoming and 70k€ of outgoing money for a total of 220.000€ in cash flow. This position therefore requires experience, responsibility, professionalism and transparency towards both the administrative body of the association and the participating companies. A major aspect of this position includes project management and team management.

Through this position I had to take care of the daily administrative tasks of the association, which required punctual, regular and conscientious work. I was also part of the decision-making office in which we had to manage 40 administrators of the association during the COVID crisis to get the best out of each one of us. I led 7 of these administrators and managed to motivate my troops. The mid-term and end-term evaluations were very positive for my role as secretary and board member as well as supervisor.

For this job I had to put together a team of 15 people, which I managed with my co-delegate. Ensuring the good progress and motivation of the team was essential. The 6H cuistax is an annual event that takes 2-3 months to organise and involves more than 100 volunteers. It requires adherence to a tight budget and regular reporting to the board of directors. The event totals €45,000 in cash flow.

This volunteer consultancy mission with international students was about giving 100PAP the proper advice to make its start in supermarket distribution. 100PAP is a solidarity beer which profits ensure access to housing for undocumented people. Our team analysed the strengths and weaknesses of 100PAP compared to their competitors and confirmed them by conducting a survey with clients. A presentation folder for supermarkets was created and a strategy was established in order to maximise their chances of success.
