During my 20-plus-year career, I’ve had the opportunity to act as an investment advisor to nearly every type of investor: retail investors, high net worth individuals, corporations, mutual fund companies, banks, trust companies, 401(k) plans, insurance companies, hedge funds, and pension funds.During that time, I’ve met nearly every type of investment manager, discussed nearly every investment strategy, listened to hundreds of pitches from corporate management teams, been exposed to nearly every financial product on the street, and learned about a wide range of operational matters. I’ve had a front row seat as new products like ETFs, fundamental indexing, and liquid alts have been developed and grown in popularity, and I’ve learned the ins and outs of Wall Street’s alphabet soup: ABS, BDCs, CLOs, MBS, RMBS, VC – the list goes on. However, above all else, I understand that Wall Street tells you the price of everything and the value of nothing. That’s why experience matters. I help investors cut through the noise by expressing values, setting goals, understanding constraints and modeling potential outcomes. I research, assess risks, find value, and build and manage portfolios over long periods of time, while institutions are being subjected to manias, panics, crashes and the shifting sands of politics and time.
