Dana Gillette has been a practicing civil engineer and land surveyor in Florida for over 30 years specializing in construction projects for both public sector and private clients. Dana founded Crossroads Engineering & Surveying, in 1995. As a successful entrepreneur she grew and led the firm through the full business cycle culminating in the firm’s successful acquisition by, and integration with, Erdman Anthony. She continues to serve as a principal at Erdman Anthony and leads the civil engineering efforts in the State. As the founder of Crossroads, she established and implemented all company policies. After growing the firm for a decade, Ms. Gillette negotiated the sale of Crossroads to a national company and since 2004, Dana has served as a Principal at Erdman Anthony. During the recession she realigned the civil engineering business for Erdman Anthony’s Florida division directing efforts to government clients and implementing new technologies. She is experienced in the business-to-government marketplace with sales and negotiation expertise. She was also an early adopter of the frontier market of sustainable, obtained LEED AP accreditation, and implemented various sustainability and resiliency programs.Dana has authored articles and delivered presentations at national and international conferences. As an engineer with expertise in heavy construction and site development, she has assisted hundreds of companies through physical expansions and improvements, identified risks and solutions and navigated complex regulatory issues to obtain thousands of permits. Her volunteer efforts have focused on education, and particularly engineering education. As a result she is on the Department Advisory Council for the Civil Engineering Department at Florida Atlantic University, has served on the Board of the Florida Engineering Foundation, and has chaired the Mathcounts and Scholarship committees for the Florida Engineering Society.
