I had a happy childhood growing up in the UK. I trained as a Personal Assistant with the Scheidegger International and worked for 3 years with GE Lighting as PA to the Research & Engineering Manager, before heading out into the world of sales with a worldwide distribution company. I moved to the US in 1991 with a young family. I volunteered a lot in their schools/libraries and became a Stroke and Turn Judge for USS (United States Swimming). I was on the Collin Country Horse Advisory Board for 4 years, and very involved in running local horse events. I was actively involved in the McKinney Newcomers for many years and started the International Group there in 1996; it's still going strong today. As well as volunteering at various schools and organization I also worked as a substitute in the school district for many years before getting a full-time job with them in 2006 as a Secretary to one of the Assistant Principals.
