Gillian is the Head of the Renal Health Program at Menzies School of Health Research and is the current Lead of the Wellbeing and Preventable Chronic Disease Division. Her prior responsibilities include the strategic leadership of renal service delivery in the NT, contributing to local and national guidelines and strategic plans. Gillian has maintained the strong relationships and connections developed in her previous roles. Gillian’s interests include understanding the cost-effectiveness of programs and her PhD focused on the economic evaluation of dialysis service delivery models in different locations, including co-designing with patients, clinicians and policy makers, a process for determining value for money.Gillian leads a multidisciplinary and cross organisational team at Menzies. The program has a focus on translational research, developing novel models of care, economic and program evaluation and assisting patients and communities contribute to policy and practice decisions.A key project is the development and implementation of an innovative digital clinical decision support tool that integrates patient level data from disparate and unconnected health services. The system (TKC) aims to close the information gap and support the delivery of integrated care for people with complex chronic diseases, particularly kidney disease.
