Along with another undergraduate, modeled the dissolution of medication in the human body by measuring three or four Continuous Stirred Tank Reactors (CSTRs) and then compared the data with theoretical predictions. Learned how to create the theoretical mass balance predictions in Pharmacokinetics and Pharmacodynamics.

Research Project – Biochemistry Project Lab

As part of a group of three, studied the activity of KmPCKA, PEPCKA enzyme from Klebstella michaganesis, on the human microbiome for use in experimentally derived database comparing activity and impact of various enzymes on microbiome, and for eventual practical applications in pharmacology. Induced the recombinant protein into E. Coli cells, produced, purified, and studied the biophysical characterizations of our Protein of Interest using skills like RT-PCR, chromatography, western blot, and spectroscopy.
