The WVU Chapter of RTDNA collaborated with the City of Morgantown to produce monthly broadcasted interviews with city officials to update residents on the city's current events and issues. 📺As an officer for RTDNA, I worked on a team that researched topics and wrote constructed interviews for the broadcasts. We operated cameras during the interviews and used Adobe Premiere to edit the footage into a 15-minute video that is posted on the city's website.

I was a news/production intern in my hometown of Parkersburg, where I worked alongside reporters, anchors and directors as they produced content for broadcast. I learned to work with programs like Edius and ENPS to learn how broadcast programs are pieced together, and I practiced editing and producing my own content as well. I shot b-roll and conducted interviews with the supervision of reporters, and I observed live tapings of afternoon broadcasts.

I wrote my own weekly news scripts. I put myself on the air in the DJ booth by using the control panels. I used Adobe software to produce audio packages that were prerecorded and played on the air. I worked alongside other student newscasters to produce podcasts on current events. I produced packages related to the recent conflicts in the entertainment industry, including the #MeToo and #TimesUp movements.
